"ज़िंदगी बड़ी होनी चाहिए, लंबी नहीं।" — The Day an Award Changed My Entire Mission

"बाबू मोशाय... ज़िंदगी बड़ी होनी चाहिए, लंबी नहीं।"

I have heard this line a hundred times. In movies. In motivational speeches. On Instagram reels at midnight.

But I never truly felt it — until the night I stood on stage holding a trophy in my hands, with tears I was trying very hard not to show.

Last year, I received the Times Applaud Trendsetter Award 2024 — recognised as one of India's most influential content creators in the parenting and child development space.

The room was full. Lights were bright. People were clapping.

Trophy haath mein thi. Lekin aankhon ke saamne kuch aur tha.

I wasn't seeing the stage. I was seeing faces.

The mother from Ahmedabad who messaged me at 2 AM — "Sir, mera beta mujhse baat karna shuru kar diya. Aapki wajah se."

The father from Delhi who wrote — "Maine aaj pehli baar apne bete se sorry bola. Aur woh roya. Main bhi roya. Thank you."

The school teacher from Pune who said — "Aapke course ne sirf mujhe nahi, mere 30 students ke ghar bhi badal diye."

Yahi thi meri asli trophy. Not the one in my hands. The ones living in those families.

I started this journey when "parenting coach" was not even a recognized profession in India. There was no Google search result for "best parenting coach in India." There was no certification. No community. No roadmap.

There was just me — a young man who had seen too many children suffer not because they were broken, but because their parents didn't have the tools to connect with them.

Bacche galat nahi hote. Bacche hurt hote hain. Aur hurt bacha tab heal hota hai — jab uska parent khud thoda heal karta hai.

This became my life's philosophy. Twenty-two years. 50,000+ families. 1.2 million YouTube subscribers. Four published books. Workshops from Gujarat to Maharashtra to the National Capital — and now coaches I have trained are reaching families I could never have personally touched.

And yet — standing on that stage — I felt only one thing. Yeh kaafi nahi hai.

Right now, as you read this, there are parents in Mumbai sitting across from their teenagers in complete silence — not because they don't love each other, but because nobody taught them how to bridge the gap.

There are children in Delhi scoring 95% in exams and crying themselves to sleep every night — because academic pressure has replaced emotional connection in their homes.

There are families in Ahmedabad, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru — where both parents are working, both parents are exhausted, and nobody has time to understand why their child is angry, withdrawn, lying, or shutting down.

These families are searching right now. Typing "child psychologist near me" into Google at 11 PM because they don't know where else to turn. Searching "child counseling near me" because their pediatrician said the child is physically fine — but something is clearly wrong. Looking for a "parenting coach in Mumbai" or the "best parenting coach in India" because they sense — correctly — that the solution is not in their child. It is in themselves.

And there aren't enough of us to answer that call. Yahi hai meri sabse badi takleef. Aur yahi hai mera sabse bada mission.

After that award night, I sat quietly for a long time. I asked myself the only question that has ever mattered to me: "Parikshit, what is the biggest possible version of the impact you can create?"

And the answer came clearly — not as ambition, but as responsibility.

One parenting coach can directly transform 50 families per year. 10,000 parenting coaches = 5,00,000 families every single year. Over a decade — 50 lakh families. Crores of children growing up in homes where they feel heard, valued, and loved.

Ek parent badlega — toh ek family badlegi. Ek lakh parents badlenge — toh ek poori peedhi badal jaayegi. Aur ek poori peedhi badli — toh Bharat badlega. 🇮🇳

This is not poetry. This is mathematics. And it is the reason I wake up every morning more driven than the day before.
